What it is
An American YouTube channel that turns SCP articles into short narrated cartoons. It started in 2020, and its first SCP video was about SCP-049, the Plague Doctor. The channel has passed 2 million subscribers and posts Spanish versions on a separate channel, TheRubber en Español.
The videos follow a simple formula: a narrator reads a version of the SCP file while bright, simple animation acts it out. Episodes include SCP-106 “The Old Man”, SCP-343 “God” and SCP-3288 “The Aristocrats”.
Compared with the original SCPs
This is where TheRubber gets debated. Several SCP Wiki authors have criticized the channel for changing their stories, so what you see in a video is not always what the article says. If an episode hooks you, read the original article it is based on.
